Emily Lepow is an enthusiastic dietitian who loves to work with people to make life long changes in their health through food and nutrition! Emily fell in love with nutrition from her first class at the University of Texas at Austin.
For the first eight years of her career, Emily worked in Food Service management in a nursing home in Austin, a community health hospital in Boston and then back home to Houston where she worked to open a new hospital in West Houston and then to MD Anderson Cancer Center. When an opportunity arose to work directly with patients again, Emily jumped at the chance.
After two years of work with diabetic patients in an outpatient setting, Emily became a Certified Diabetes Educator. She has focused her work on helping people manage their diabetes and weight since then. She has been able to combine her love of cooking and meal planning with her creative approach to make all foods fit in a healthy diet. In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with family, reading and cooking.
